UO and XFire

How are people getting UO to clock in on their XFire accounts might I ask? Or is it as I suspect and only usable with the 3D client? When I tried setting XFire to recognise UO, it only wanted to look for uotd.exe (the third dawn client), and so I don't think it works for the 2D client.

Am I right in my suspicions, or can I start notching up an obscene number of hours in UO on xfire?

I have it from this week ,and I only use 2d

Aha, got it working now, with UOAssist to boot.

Yeah, it works on 2d. All I use is 2d with UOA and its worked from day one.

Yup I had no problems with UOA and 2D.

It was giving me a load of flak about not being able to find the uotd.exe - which I instantly presumed meant it only worked with the 3rd Dawn client. I was actually wrong, it looks for uotd.exe, uo.exe and uopatch.exe to detect activity - so I just copied and renamed uo.exe to uotd.exe and it worked. Now chugging along fine.

Just have to play the game and I can soon overtake the meager amount of time I spent on WoW (I figure I spent twenty to thirty times more than that playing WoW in the course of two years, I just rarely had XFire open

)

Well, for me, I load Xfire. Then I go to START menu, load UO Assist from programs like usual. Xfire will detect you're playing UO.

You don't have to use Options >> Launch.

I play 3D and never could get x-fire to work. When I wrote them about it they said it does not work on 3D. So I gave up on it rather quickly.
