Im just now starting on UO and really look forward to playing. Problem is I put in the Samurai Empire cd and downloaded it and the new patch from 13 February. Now... my friend plays on a Renaissance shard that is not the one from xxxxxxxxx and I have no idea how to find it and also I wondered how I could sign up for my account without my purchase box. any help is appreciated

Sorry lampy5 no help from here on player shards. It is in the forums agreement with UO.

If the code from your SE cd is missing or already used you will have to get a game time code or buy the lastest retail box out to open a new account. Also I think I read where you have to have a credit card to start one. Not sure I have been a lot of help.

where could i discuss player shards? I wasnt aware of the agreement and im just in a rush to get on and play cause my friends keep talking about this game haha. Also... I bought the Samurai Empire cd.... is this one not usable with thecurrent UO?

I'd say....use google to search for player run shards or emulators.
That should give you good leads.
