UO Supplies?

Ok, I checked out the "Cyber Nickel's UO Supplies" link at the top of the page, and say that 1 million gold is $2.99 ! Is that for real? Or is there some catch?

If it's real, then why are people always trying so hard to make money in the game? Why doesn't everyone just spend a few bucks and become instant multi-millionairres? Just curious about it..

Some people like to earn their money the hard way. Others feel it devalues gold to buy it from a broker. Yet others just don't want to shell out real life cash for a game item. I believe that cover most of the reasons why they don't

i would find it hard to buy gold your buying something thats really not there but is at the same time i made alot of gold selling my tokens when i started the game

And yes, Cyber nickel'sprices are for real. He is a trusted broker and poster here. Never heard a complaint about him.

As to economic repurcussions of such easily available gold, well, the more you buy, the more you spend.

It is a truth that the GOOD PK outfits will run you about 40 mill. The Stat/ power scroll for the template will run you another 30. The dyes to make it all match another 10-30 mill. So, even at 2.99 a mill, you will still have to fork out significant cash.

I'd say the good PvP suits are now more like 75-100 mil, and I think that is a conservative estimate...heck, an orny is about 45-50 mil on Pac.
