  | The UO Spaghetti Ananlogy (I.E. why a new client) I just came up with the spaghetti code analogy, and why their approach is wrong lol. You are tasked to produce 1000 parallel lines of spaghetti noodles. You are given two options. Use an existing, notted up plate of saucy spaghetti. Or make your own from scratch. With the existing plate, you wash off the sauce (all the other dev teams), then commence to unknotting the noodles. From scratch, you have to: Grow the wheat - graphics engine Build a grindstone - tool sets Grind the wheat - compile code Gather other ingredients - hire the talent mix the ingredients - programming time form the ingredients- alpha dry the spaghetti - beta line the spaghetti up - release. Plus, he didn't even mention that the previous dev teams never really agreed on what type of noodles to use in the first place.
