Ultima Online Reborn

I have a question thats been bugging me for a long time.....

dunno if dev ppl or EA ppl actually read these forums but heres the question...

since EA owns mythic that means they own a REAL 3d engine right?
so then why dont they make a REAL uo 3d take the world of ultima online as it is today minus a few garbage expansions like Age of Shadows and make the world a lot larger in size which is real easy to do in 3d and then pop us out a new ultima online that is truly 3d with truly 3d characters?

personally im getting on in age my UO acct is now 10 yrs old and quite frankly im looking for a game i can retire my gaming career in and play it until i cant play no more...and a true 3d ultima online without the luck garbage and stuff the way it used to be would do just exactly that

They've said they want to keep the old Ultima "feel" to the game by not going to a true 3d environment.

UO has, throughout the history of the game, had a top-down orientation. I assume you want an over-the-shoulder 1st person 3D perspective? That wouldn't be UO.

Actually the majority of UO players use and enjoy the 2d view. It should be very interesting to see how the 3d engine pushing out 2d graphics works in UO:KR. After that who knows what the future holds for UO graphics.

i wouldn't play if it wasn't a top-down view. also, i've read that the dev team is dedicated to keeping the computer system requirements low, since they own the role of the MMORPG with the lowest system requirements now. a full blown 3D game would require much better graphics, more RAM and CPU power, etc.

First person view kinda makes me nauseous. That and I like being able to see if something is behind me.

I swear, I was just searching that corpse for loot! Those people that are telling those stories were far far away and it only looked like... well, I got some powerscrolls so that's all that matters, not my fault people hide them where they hide them.
