If i were to stick around UO for any reason, it would be for the top shelf graphics they are putting out.

If your expecting WoW/EQ type graphics, well that is not what's coming down the pike.

I dont care if its WoW/EQ graphics it still looks good, realy good, and they are remakeing the game that defined MMOs and all those others just followed in its path, i think it is sad how the MMO that made the MMO genra popular would go down hill dont you? to stop that from happening they are putting in tons of work to make it that more ppl subscibe than ever. compared to what im playing now on 2d (who plays 3d right now anyhow?)It will be sufficent for me at least.

I think that the new graphics look like a combination of the two engines which at this point appears to be a good balance.

However, keep in mind that the above statement is MMO (my miniscule opinion) :cheesy:

I use 3D. I tried 2D but it feels too much like southpark the video game. Graphics tend to sell games more than gameplay and other features to the casual gamer. Unfortunately it seems the rule is grapics get people to buy and gamplay gets people to stay; the problem is you need people to buy in order for them to stay.

I use 2d because I buy mass amounts of regs for alchemy and it is faster to buy bulk from npc using 2d.
