(dont start with the old argument "threat vs reward"... hacks, scripts, etc... are the only way to even the battle field... and the devs arent fixing that...)


Felluca is run by money-making guilds (not one guild, guilds)...

They spawn non-stop so they can collect 120 powerscrolls.
They do Harrowers so they can collect stat scrolls.

Then those items are sold for some uo millions and each million sold for $1.50 to $1.75...

Those same guilds... (guilds)... use all kind of hacks, scripts, scams to protect their money-making...

There are small corporations making money out of this, hiring folk to run scripts/bots (this more on felluca than on trammel)... easy to make 15mill per hour... multiply that by 30 days and by $1.50...


Felluca my friends isnt about pvp. It is about someones pocket...

And you, me and all the VAST majority that play the game unaware of this... we're sheep... and every month we get "sheered" (thank you Qu)

It is our veterans duty... to let the new players know about what is going on... so they can play uo aware of what is going on... they are the ones that can make this game change, not us... (we're old and used to this)

To end my rant... we have first class players with access to everything in the game but using 3rd party programs, scripts and hacks... and we have the vast majority... the "cattle" that plays the game unware of it... or happy in their ignorance.

It is time to say ... "MUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

and stomp our hoof...

Raise awareness shards wide...

Have the developers listen to the majority...

and if all that fails...

Move on to greener pastures with nicer caretakers...

What the "cattle" CAN do to change how Fel is more about someones "pocket" than the actual game is something they simply WON'T do.

What's that you say? If it means they wouldn't be lining these scripters/hackers/exploiters pockets with in game gold/RL cash then why wouldn't the "cattle" do it? I don't know, it's all to simple, and yet all they do is feed the fire.

If it's so simple, what do they need to do you ask?

JUST DON'T BUY THE ITEMS!!!!!

UO has been going on for 10 years now with these same problems, you tell me.

The developers shouldn't have to attempt to compensate for the "cattles" flaw. Look at what happens when they DO try to fix this problem. Every time... wait.... EVERY time there is a "fix" to "balance" Player vs Player combat (because Trammies want to play in Fel and "WIN" without putting in the time/effort to learn how to) (yes, I know, 3rd party programs, hacks, etc. but if I can do it while playing "clean" so can anyone else) the "cattle" cry "nerf".

I'm afraid we have failure and it's not the developers fault.

It would be utopia to get rid off these virtual shephers you speak of. I recently discovered PvM and how much fun it can be.

However I am quite concerned this will blow up in our faces if we try to make trammel a copy of felluca, minus the murderers.


P.S. If I had my way, there would be no trammel.

organize three times a week. get 50 people in game to go to the spawns and and dominate the reds. Police any areas that you feel need to be dealt with. Even if you are there just protecting the folks that are spawning it would be worth it. Not to mention fun as hell. We could start up a security force.

You don't even need all that.

Small guilds have knocked out spawns without the big bad uglies destroying all hope. Yes, more times than not you'll get raided and run back to town seeing grey, but it can be done.

Not to mention solo spawns get knocked out at a decent rate too.

Do your homework, put time and effort into trying to do what you want to do instead of just running into someone elses house and expecting to put your feet up on the coffee table and have someone bring you a nice glass of lemonade.

Damn, this mentality really has to stop. I'm not a PK, but have many friends who were when they played. All good people.
I've been out hunting WITH reds. Other players would run when we came near them. It was fun as hell...

PvP and PvM are just ways of playing the game, not the reenactment of the battle between heaven and hell.

Put Champ Spawns and Harrowers in Trammel and just check out how many people will be farming those poor, poor monsters...
They are the cattle.
Imagine a chance to make lots of money, and no risk whatsoever. Yeah, i bet four of my eyes they will be there, gathering items, selling for 10mil and then selling the mils for 1 buck (you know... prices will drop, with the HUGE increase in offer...) and getting rich too.

People in trammel also script and hack, man... sorry

That thought had also occured to me.
