Trying to do a quest in Ilsh

Talked to Jelrice the trader and he said ostards are running wild threatening his land. He wants me to go kill 12 of them. Only problem, there don't seem to be any frenzied ostards anywhere near Lakeshire where he lives.

In fact according to stratics none live in Ilsh at all, although UOGuide says they do live in Lakeshire. Is UOGuide wrong, or have I just somehow missed them? If they do exist near Lakeshire can someone point me in the right direction? Don't have a rune to T2A so I was just hoping to not have to go there to complete this quest. Thanks!

I've never seen any ostards in Lakeshire when I played
As far as I know, they only spawn in the T2a lands, as that's where they "originate" from.

I also have been all over Ish and never encountered frenzied ostards. I have seen the forest ostards south of the Valor shrine. Which shard might you be on? I am sure someone might be able to go mark a rune where frenzied are found in T2A, if I've family there.

Go south out of the Compassion shrine to the desert area.
You will find ostards there.

The frenzied ones? I thought it was only the desert ostards that spawn there?
Mind you, I haven't played in X years

I did this quest a few months ago and I searched everywhere in that area. There are no frenzied ostards. lol

Apparently, some one else did the quest before you and was a little too efficient!

There are no frenzieds in that area, if I recall correctly.

You can probably kill Frenzies in Delucia. Someone at the bank will more then likely be able to get you there, or you can go through the brit Sewers or through the Moonglow mage shop, or through Bucs Den.
