Transferring between characters.

If i have some chars in the same shard, is there a way for direct transfer of items and gold between them?

Eh, no

Not unless you have two accounts, or a trustworthy friend to give the items to your other character
Or, if you have a house, you can use the secure containers to store stuff, which would be accessible to all staff.

Well you could do what I've always done, the "log in/log out panic transfer". I log both my characters out in an inn in the same room, place everything I want to transfer in a bag, place it on the ground then log to the other character very quickly. Amazingly, I have a house and I still do this (sometimes).

Nice idea, think i will try it.

It's good to have a manufacturing character as assistance to a fighting one.

You may want to try this. Take a pack animal or blue bug and have a friend friended to it. load it with an item so it doesn't get auto stabled when you log of. Have your friend friend your other char. Log onto the owner of the pack animal or bug, remove your friend off the friend list. load the animal with the items you wish to transfer and log onto the char you wish to get the items.

You used to beable to do that in EQ. Go to some place that not many people goes drop it on the ground and pick it up with your other character but they changed things. I think all items now dropped on the ground is destroyed immeditly and also there is a shared bank spot nowdays so never need to do that now.

But yeah that will work in UO I myself never thought of that hehe but then again I only got ONE character to hehe

I created second character, but when i try the quick log out/log in, i got a message: "Another character from this accout is currently online in this world. You must either log in as that character, or wait for it to time out."

How long it going to take before i can switch them?

Finally logged, but it taked more than five minutes to wait.

Log out in an inn or a home you are friended to, so you dont have to wait

There are only a few areas that are "insta-log" (no waiting) spots. Inns and peoples houses are the only 2 I can think of.

Youll want to do the transfer in an infrequently used inn...Minoc was always good for that on Cats.
