| Guest | Transfering a Char to another shard ? Hey All, I'm looking at getting back into UO, the new reborn upgrade has drawn me in, but my old shard I use to play on is now from what I hear pretty dead ( Oceania ). Is there anyway now to transfer char to another shard ?. I have a few 7 x gm char on that shard and dont wish to start from scratch nor playing on an empty shard doesn't sound to appealing ether. Thanks for any input. Syaoran. |

Go here : http://support.uo.com/charactertransfer.html It cost $19.99 a character to do it. It says that you can take the items in the characters backpack and bank box and the pets that are in your stable and the pets that are with you, but you can't be mounted. I play on Great Lakes and let me tell you there is always someone on to play with. It's 4am now and there are 6 people at the west brit bank and 8 between the bank and moongate in luna. Have fun and I hope this helped you out!:cheesy: ![]() Pixie Sticks.....for kids who can't afford heroin. ![]() |

Welcome to UO Forums and back to UO syaoran ![]() Before you start transferring I would double check how dead Oceania really is. May not be as bad as you heard (or it could be worse ).Vepl |

FYI, you can bring up to 5 pack horses full of stuff with you when you move - just have them all following you when you use your transfer token. Your bank box, backpack, and worn items will also come with you. |

| Guest | Re: Transfering a Char to another shard ? Well, I have a few char's on my old server, one of which is a GM Fisherman ( Quick Money Maker ). I dont mind starting a new char from scratch to enjoy the uo game play all over again, but it would be good to have the extra cash to start with. I don't think there's any point transferring my Castle deed, as i doubt there will be any land available to place it. Ahh the good old day's, how i miss my fish tank. It's funny, to date, I've never played a game with a better travel system then uo. Rune's, portal's and so on, nothing comes close. So many things i've missed over the year's but the graphics of the game is what keep me away, and hearing how uo2 was caned didn't help. Even with uo3d, tho the char's did and monster's did look better, something was still missing. I'm looking forward to checking out how much it's change and hope I remember why i played UO for over 6 years. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I appreciate. Syaoran. |

housing DEEDS are no longer needed ... we place homes with the house placement tool bought from the real estate npc (or architect)? ... anyways most importantly .. DO NOT click on that castle deed .. DO NOT put in bank ... DO NOT put in your backpack!! It will go poof!! House Deeds (not mini house deeds) are rare now ... lock it up in a secure container (i wouldn't even trust locking it down for display purposes at this point - with the new client coming in) best bet .. put it in a secure and leave it alone .. Nice rare if you have the actual castle deed ... Welcome to UO Forums ![]() Its been so long since we placed without having to use our 'house' deed for placing .. i think it showed we were entitled to that type of 'housing' (cost) ... anyone remember? One more little suggestion ... you could create a character on the different shards you are interested in exploring for atmosphere and hang out around the busy areas to see what folks are like on that shard before investing in a transfer ![]() | |
