ORIGIN - Ultima Online - Main

The way it was worded it sounded like this might finally be the details on the next expansion. About the only thing we learned was they are working on weddings again and a couple things about the next phase of the event. The presentation was extremely short (10 minutes) and most of it went over the last 2 publishes. Here are my notes:

- Weddings are being worked on, no specific launch publish mentioned
- Publish 53: "War" will begin, involving the factions and huge monster invasions for virtue towns
-- Factions that own towns in Felucca will gain bonuses in trammel
-- Monsters will have advanced AI: fight in groups, use tactics, special abilities, level up as they kill players
- Instead of trying to revamp entire systems, they are going to try and just nibble at them. For example the changes they made to Factions in the current publish.

Thats it for the presentation. They will be doing the Q&A session in a few minutes.

- Greater Dragons are intended to be how they are
- Commas in more numbers will be appearing over the next few publishes (such as vendors)
- Jewelry boxes are being worked on, no date for them
- No new information on the next expansion Stygain Abyss
- Working on getting more and better information out there about events, see new events page on UO.com: Ultima Online
- Changing working off murder counts so it doesn't require 40 hours of logged in time, no other details
- There is a bug with GM system that causes pages to not be received properly, they are working on it
- What is happening with 2D? "We love 2D and it isn't going anywhere."
- They are still investing a lot into Kingdom Reborn
- Will enhancing with metals ever be changed to have properties like wood? He was about to say something but then was reminded he can't talk about it

There will be more gifts added to the spring cleanup. I believe he mentioned a dex suit and a mage suit. Existing items can still be turned in and existing points can still be used. They would not say what else could be turned in.

BTW even being there I could not make everything out.

Is someone going to post what the last slide was? It will be interesting to know what that showed.

It was a blurred image of a face. Somebody in the audience said "Mondain" but I don't know whether it was.

I wonder how much of their intentions will probably make it.
Best run they had I think when they tried scenarios. They were really really slow but they managed for over a year then.

Can anyone elaborate on the Jewelry boxes? Will the separate your jewelry for you? or just be a fancy house deco?
