Was working hiding along with stealth this evening when I noticed a strange text pop up with the usual text you get when failing stealth. It tells me that I cannot use this ability while mounted yet Im not on any kind of mount period. Has anyone else noticed this strange text bug it seems?

This answer won't be much help. When I was stealthing a couple months ago I never noticed this. The only bug I noticed was when I went stealthed through some dungeons and creatures followed me.

That's been there for years. Back when I last quit was Age of Shadows, and it did it then, too. UO developers are incredibly lazy and neglegent., it seems.

I noticed that about two weeks ago while stealthing back to Lurg in Painted Cave, I stealthed in and nobody else was around and before I knew it I had 4 or 5 Trogs surrounding me, they went everywhere I went,,was kind of funny actually,thankfully for me my stealth didnt fail

That little 'monster-in-my-pocket' trick is fun at Felucca champ spawns, provided the person you're luring them toward doesn't realize there is an invisible toon in the middle of the gaggle right away.

It really doesn't work well as an attack mechanism. It's a heck of a lot of fun to watch the reds go, "OMGWTFgoAWAY"

Best part is, when they finally do figure out there is a person in the middle, they inevitably cast earthquake...and aggro the entire mob.

In the situation I described above I was already in stealth before I entered the cave and since there was nobody(that I could see anyway) they could not have known I was there either since I maintained my stealth the whole time I was there, but I might go to fel and try that little trick when i get bored lol

Someone came up to me in Haven yesterday and told me the same mounted issue.

I'd bug report it. Even if they don't fix it immediately ... let them know about.

Ya never know, if they get enough reports it might get scraped onto a developer's plate like some unwanted brussel sprouts.

Created a thief from a character I really didn't know what to do with so I started stealth and hiding from zero buying up from trainers and then walking around once hidden. I get that message all the time when I walk in what appears to be a hill spot on roads, forest or jungle. I've ignored it and try to stay on virtual flat surface where unless I've run by accident I stayed hidden.

I have also had dragons fly near me in destard while hidden. I stopped and they stopped and followed me again. At first I was spooked and got out of the dungeon. But the second time I just waited to see what happened. As long as I was hidden nothing except follower.

I would guess the mount message is a message bug and not more serious effecting any mechanic in the action. I will follow it and see how it goes.
