The Holiday Season Begins!

Britannia News Network just received this communication from the Council of Mages:

"The abnormally high concentration of blackrock near the surface appears to have caused a temporal wave… we are receiving reports of massive cases of deja-vu, dizziness, and, in extreme cases, even items reappearing where they were approximately one year ago."

The Council goes on to say that there should be no long-term effects from this freak occurrence, and that any items that have appeared are perfectly normal and safe to use and enjoy. The Council also believes that this will have no impact on the normal holiday festivities and this year’s holiday gifts will be distributed as normal. This unusual event marks the official beginning of the holiday season, as citizens all over Sosaria take their holiday trees and wreaths out of storage for display. This year, it appears, everyone will have just a few more toys to play with round the tree. This is the BNN, wishing everyone a happy holiday season.

You know I paged Spada or Fylwyn by name last year asking them to help me with my reindeer, since it had been raised by them...

So, what are the gifts? Are they per char, per shard,?

The ones that arrived today are ... a gift box containing a new Holiday Tree deed and yep the trees can be put up. Also a snowy scene globe, a soulstone fragment and a deed for a reindeer or sleigh with an EA staff members name with (winter 2005 on them). And on the accounts that I have checked so far, they are per character, per shard.

As for any new 'toys' coming down the lane we all have to wait with anticipation ...

Hummm, wonders if EA & the UO_Mythic ELVES got our wish list :cheesy:

they are the same gifts we got last year. soulstone frag, reindeer deed or sleigh deed, snowglobe, etc.

couldn't they come up with something alittle different, maybe christmas cards cards that look like cards not deeds or toy soldiers / nut crackers...

And Cerwin, this is just a freebie...a mistake on their part that we get to keep anyway. We'll get other Xmas gifts later.

How old is your account? It used to work t hat once u reched your 30 day mark a gift would appear in your bag. Dont hold me on that but there were times in the past it worked that way.
Your talking to a person, which between the wife and I, has had up to 20 accounts and I know in the past some of newer accounts would receive something once they reached 30 days.We used to do a lot of X sharding of gifts

I'm just stoked I get 12 soulstone frags this year....I can never have enough of those..that is if we get SS frags for the "real" christmas presents..

My account says 2 months old but I would say its almost 30 days. *rubs hands together* I hope I get some X mas stuff when I hit 30!
