Has anyone tried joining a faction, and then attacking these things? Maybe there's some added damage "slayer-like" bonus for being in a faction??

How do you join a faction?

for those on Europa you can join the True Britannians by double clicking the faction post outside brit castle fel. We could do with loads of help, but be warned if you are in factions you can not be helped by anyone not in your faction, ie no in lor, no rez, no passing of pets etc. This is a broken part of factions I hope they sort it soon as its ment tho only be that way in fel. To get a rez you get someone from your faction or a NPC to rez you. (True Britannians are not the only faction availible of course, but I'm bias)

trying to check this out on UO.com, as for being tougher than others the guild I am in is True Brittannian Trammies and as the name sinifies we are all blues and true trammies giving factions a try for the first time.

hey Flame I found out this to work...

team of two... teach them to make a bandage partner macro with a 2000 pause (UOA)... and repeat that 5 times... set a key to it and stay together.

Our roleplaying archers fought UP (pirates) and they razed the strumpets...
They stood together, healing eachother 5 times while doing the basic pvp tactics and uoa running the heals on the background. (each one was responsible for their own cures... and now they know how to fight a peerless... )

ok heres what I based my understanding on from ORIGIN - Ultima Online - Playguide

My understanding is that you cannot get help from others during an attack, and got the impression that if you were not under attack you could recieve aid, I am willing to accept I could be understanding this wrong. So I recommend anyone considering joining factions to check the playguide out on uo.com as it could cause some issues for charecters and seeing as it takes 3 days to ressign from a faction its not something to try lightly just to see if it makes a difference in the vanguard situation.

You know the thing where Factioners can't be healed or rezzed by other players, the thing that you suggest is a bug?

I have been trying to get that changed, or fixed, for years.

One of several Stratics posters who opposes my proposal is a lady who claims to be in Factions on Europa. Not only does she disagree that it was a bug, but she says stuff along these lines: "You, Galen, think Factioners should be healed in Trammel because you just want to sit at the bank on a Faction horse. You Trammie wimp, us tough! Roar!!"

Eventually I got sick of it, and put her on ignore.
