Re: The new UO

You needed to reroll to a necro. Kiting 1400 quadders is fun, and parsing 1k fairly constantly really makes the mages upset.

With the latest expansion they came up with a nifty effect, OOC regen, or out of combat regen. Basically 30 seconds after you are off aggro list with no debuffs you gain an insane regen rate for hp/mana/endurance. I can burn out 60k damage to a mob, kill it and be back in a minute instead of 5 minutes of resting.

Re: The new UO

umm this is UO not WoW so stop downtalking it, UO was around before WoW was even thought of. So what if it is diablo style graphics, we have good gameplay, better that WoW i think, and that is all that matters. Correct me if im wrong but wasnt UO one of the first MMO's created?

Re: The new UO

It is, arguably, the first proper MMO that proved subscription based online gaming could be a large-scale success. OSI pop that up every time someone wants a quick look into UO's past. People who're quitting for other games should really just say goodbye, maybe tell people which game they are going to and then heave ho tbh - we can already take a wild stab at why based on which game your going to

Re: The new UO

I think before they let people come to these forums make em take a quick test to make sure they aint WoW or any other MMO so they cant encourage people to leave UO for some other game (that means you dan zig) and i just took a look at the other one of his posts about "our time passing and coming to an end" that is a big load of crap cus i have seen bout 7 (young) players this weekend on LS alone, and with this new game client coming we will have plenty of newcomeing ppl, TAKE THAT WoW!

Re: The new UO

Dang!!!! I'm just looking at that EQ picture. The stats are impressive. (Impressive since they go over 100).

STR 176
StA 254
AGI 133
DEX 217
WIS 213
INT 315
CHA 180 etc. etc. etc.

But it looks too busy. Too many chat windows.

Still waiting for them to release more screenshots of new client.
Actually that's a great UI you have Ralcor, very clean looking to me , use to wish I could run my screen that size to cram more stuff in.
Here's an old pic of mine to show off...lookie who he made a pet of. hehe

Re: The new UO

OMG I don't think I could play a game like that..looks far too complicated. UO was easy to learn as I had a good teacher and I'm learning more every day and upgrade that comes out. I look forward to seeing more pictures as they become available and can't wait for the upgrade!

goodbye and good luck to all my old friends and to all you newbies i have one piece of advice, unless your a retro arcade fan youll like WoW better.
farewell and ill see most of you in Azeroth soon
Sorry to say but many Wow players I have known who played UO before came back. But just quiting before really anything is finalized is kind of silly
