No, I definately would NOT make anything using regular leather with a barbed kit and then enhance. As has been said, the only thing enhancing does is bump up the resists and add luck. Not to mention you will probably lose at least half of what you made by destroying it.

KK glad I didn't try to make out plain leather eh.
I'll have to agree that selling the kit and spending the money on a nice piece someone else made makes for sense to me.
But these barbies are so cute. Fairytopia! :cheesy:

My apologies for the gender thing. I suppose we all have questionable names genderwise. I know of at least one male Snowy, and am sure there are more. Asmodi.. as in short for Asmodeus? JK

Welllll, the story doesn't just end there. You can find some very sweet magical stuff that drop off monsters thats great..... buuuttttt, could be a little greater. Enhancing droped items can really boost its stats and therby boost its sellability. You can make major league big bucks that way. Of course, the downside would still be the high chance of destroying the item.

Re: Tailoring question reguarding Barbed kits

I got my first Barbed kit yesterday, and made all Gorgets and Arms, and made 9 really good items. I made atleast 3 +16LRC items, including some arms with NS +5 mana and 18LRC with decent resists, out of the 6 items that arent considered great items, they had low resists but alot of mods including alot of +5 mana, +str, +stam, LMC. I only have 109 tailoring but wear a nice 23exc 21tailor bonus talisman. I guess I got lucky. I dont plan on selling the items, but rather keep them for myself as they can be used. I was trying to restructure my Swdsmans suit to accompany a Carapiece, I ended up with a nice suit and now am able to have enough dex to throw archery on him whenever I want a change. I guess I got lucky with the kit and didnt get 15 pieces of crap.

Re: Tailoring question reguarding Barbed kits

Problem is, just because something has +16 LRC doesn't make it worth anything. Even 17%LRC and +5 int is still junk IMO. LRC pieces are a dime a dozen nowadays and it's gotten to where if it's not at least 17-18% LRC I won't even loot it unless it's got other mods that are useful. High LRC *with* high resists are what I'm looking for.
I'm not saying I got 45 pieces of crap but still nothing near what I feel is worth 10.5mil
