Question Swamp Dragons......

I have heard rumors that if my melee combat warrior rides one of these beasts it will help me some how. Could anyone explain how they help?

Re: Swamp Dragons......

If you put armor on them, it takes a % of the damage done to you, basically deflecting to it, instead of you.

Re: Swamp Dragons......

Thanks for the quick answer! Does the material the dragons armor is made of make the percentage any higher?

Re: Swamp Dragons......

The only thing to really pay attention to is getting Exceptional over Normal.

Re: Swamp Dragons......

A swamp dragon armored with Dragon Barding will absorb 10% of your damage in PVM (not PVP) if it is a normal quality deed, and 20% if it is an exceptional deed. This includes all melee, ranged and spell damage. Color of the armor (deed) has no effect on the damage reduction, despite what you might hear. You can check the condition of the armor when it is on the Swampy by using the Arms Lore skill, little (or zero) points are required to do this. The armor can be removed from the swampy by doubleclicking a dagger and targeting the swampy.

Re: Swamp Dragons......

You are better off using normal ingots tho, because you can get them way easier. I only waste my higher ingots for 1 swampy cause I wear all black, and the shadow armor looks cool on it. But any miner out there probably has thousands more normal ingots than colored ones....

Re: Swamp Dragons......

Oh yeah, the ingot used shows up on the swampy by changing it's color corresponding to the ingot.
