Ugggh, I'm torn on this. On one hand, yes, it was annoying you could only gain a few stats a day and only one every 15 minutes, on the other, you could train up most skills long before you could max out your stats.

I don't know, I guess it's a good thing, but for some reason, it feels cheap.

I'm liking it. I have a new character that I soulstoned skills over to, and it's been taking forever to get his stats up to the point that he is equal in power to the former toon. With the change, stats are going up faster, and I'm no longer trapped bashing Ettins for gains.

I'm concerned that, for example, working only my taming skills on a tamer, I won't get the variety of skills needed to raise the appropriate stats. I'll have to play around and see if I have any trouble.

You'll be fine Kit.

Vet = DEX/INT
Lore/Tame = INT/STR

But if anyone has any problems doing any skill for stat, just do what the poster over on Stratics did and let Focus + Med raise from 0-60 and stone them off, wash/repeat.

Back to the old see-saw methods... bah! Actually I hope that there was enough thought put into the primary/secondary skills that most templates will be able to raise the appropriate stats.

Looking at Lore/Taming/Vet, it looks right to me. Int and Str are my two primary stats on that template, and they make up the majority of the stat gain opportunities.

Could someone explain this to me. I am very familiar with the see saw method. So please don't explain that. I have been training a character for three days now and have not gained anything stat wise. The character is at 107 10 73 with 91.7 total skill points. All of the points are in LJ. The character has climed from mid 80's to almost 92 and not gained one stat point.

I'm assuming you're trying to gain in INT ApC?

Lumberjacking
Str
Dex

Those are the only stats you can gain with LJ.

You'll need to use a skill (with skill arrow up) that will allow a gain in INT, like Focus or Med.

If you can't gain in any of the 3 stats, something is wrong.
