I waited a long time before placing the following questions, hoped to find an answer by chance so that my ignorance is not revealed, but no such luck.

Here are the questions:

1. I see many people wasting(?) time at Malas Bank or W.Britain Bank, just sitting there, not talking, not doing anything. I log out, log in some time later, they are stil there, same position. What are these people trying to achieve?

2. Mostly around Malas Bank I see items moving up to the sky from a player or down from the sky to the player, what is going on?

I'm sure I'm missing something seriously..

alot of people bank sit at these places. 1 reason that people like to sit there is cause it is populated, and their journals keep moving, due to people showing up, talking, casting spells, NPCs talking. in turn keeping their game logged in, not going idle, and in doing so, they can burn off murder counts.

when you see items going up and down the screen, it is people either trading items to eachother , or them putting stuff into and out of their backpacks.

Oh well...

I was expecting something more exciting.

Also bank sitting can be a means of getting a good deal on something someone is trying to get rid of!

I Personally Never Liked Bank Sitting To Many Con -artist I Heard Some Pretty Horrible Stories About Deals Gone Bad

ahh but the bank sitters are usually the ones that can call out the scammers, cause they are the ones that have been there the whole time seeing the scamming...

Some folks are also macroing there. Setting up a macro to work anatomy or eval is easy when you have a ton of folks not moving and just sitting there.

back when I first started playing bank sitters on Great Lakes usually were there to show off their black blessed sandals or other rare "bling bling"

It's a shame that the trammel ruleset doesn't allow for thieving from fellow players....
