Title, really.

I'm interested in UO, so I'm just wondering as to what I'd expect.

First off Welcome to UO Forums. We are glad you decided to check us out.

The answer to your question will depend on who is talking. Most of us here, believe UO is far from dead. There are lot of great things to do now and with some upcoming plans. UO's future really looks bright.

As you can tell I am one of those who still enjoys the game

Considering the number of active posters here and on other popular UO boards, I think that asking that question in a place like this is bound to get you the answer that No, UO is definitely NOT dead! I've been playing for 9 years, 1 months and 10 days.... and will still be playing tomorrow

Agreed, I enjoy uo and think its far from dead but its all in how you look at it

UO isn't dead. But do select your shard carefully, as some are busier than others. It all depends upon the environment you want. Let folks know what kind of play and environment you're interested in, and perhaps we can make suggestions for shards.

Well since this game is still considered the #1 PvP game, I want to try that aspect out the most.

What shard is most busy in that category?

I would say Atlantic

Yes, I'd say Atlantic or Pacific for pvp, depending on your connection.
