Okay, if I do buy one is there anything else that I should do? To make sure that the account is really mine?

Re: Should I or should I not...

When I first started playing I shared an account with my mother. I immediately became a UO addict and I couldn't play as much as I wanted to because not only did we share an account but we had also shared the same computer. So I recommend you get your'e own account

I'd flip for a Character Transfer token if I were you.. in most cases it should be ok.. but due to EA'd f'd up verification system, the original owner can take the account back with a simple call to EA with the original credit card number used to register the account. It's happened a couple times but not too frequently. If you use the character transfer token, you become the original owner of the account and all previous activity on the account is erased on EA's end.
