ok sooo i was in town and found out about the event from herald or what ever they are but sherry has no news for me i think she doesn't like me as she only works if i have her locked down in the house begging the question why bless her if there is no point of carrying her into battle

Ya Im kinda pissed that the Sherry the mouse statue isnt working like its supposed to , I got mine locked down at house and it didnt say anything. I said "News" and it simply says "I have no news at this time" even though the Town Criers in town are going nuts ..... WTF .....

I did read once upon a time that they were going to fix her to function some time whenever with whatever....*still waiting.* I did get one just for the historic concept since she wrote a book about the Lords once in her lifetime as she watched them play chess etc. and added her to my home with her book. But yeh would be nice if she worked as originally intended now and not some year into the future.

Part of the quest/scenerio includes Sherry the Mouse being missing. Maybe this is what activates her? Just thinking out loud.

Yeh I wish I could remember the dev. post on the Sherry the Mouse issue, I think it was on stratics even before they crashed and burnt. It did say something about some timeline for when she would fully function but bleh I do not remember it was too long ago now.

Noticed same about some Town Criers as well. When I heard the news broadcast I was in Zento and noticed two Town Criers. One had the news the other didn't.

i don't know what the world is coming to but maybe the developers could give us the ability to have sherry the mouses head on a platter or stuck to a wall


also that maybe what the prob is then maybe that there is for some reason 2 news broadcast stations in uo one works and the other dosnt maybe the dev team accidentally hooked into the wrong one that is unless one tells one type of news and the other tells these odd events

btw sherry was supposed to be activated with pub 53 but there was a delay so they pushed her back into her mouse hole until pub 54


P.S. its a mouse what no one ever heard of keeping a mouse in your backpack news on the run the only way to go

Actually, you could carry her in your pack in Ultima 6....

hm.. sherry the mouse just kind of sits in my house and at this point is just decoration which is okay with me right now I guess - Im not that big on news when I get it from other sources. Though it owuld be nice to have it work
