Shards?

Hi i have just bought the 9th ed. and have been playing uo for 3 years but wonder what osi shard to play on wich one is the best o incase you are wondering i played on player ran shards and is it any diff from the major player ran shards? thx adn have a nice day also i will be named poolboy so if you see me on a shard say hey

What are you looking for in UO? Answering that will help us help you. Some shards are great at RP, others have tons of people and yet others are near lifeless.

Since I have never played on a player run shard can't tell you what the differences would be

First off, welcome to UO and UOForums!

Now, when you log into the game and get the list of all the shards, you will see numbers like "43ms" next to them. Try the shards that have the lowest numbers there first and see what you think of them...

As a side note, discussion of freeshards is not allowed on UOForums. While you can bring them up in the abstract, we would prefer to stay away from mention of them as much as possible.
