My spell resistance skill stopped raising when I reached 65 in the skill. I used the spectral spellbinders in haven and a boat so they cast spells on me, which should raise the skill very quickly. I decided I would train wrestling after. Unfortunately, that skill stopped at 25. I have less than 700 skill points used, and both skills are pointed up.

Try training on something different?

What is your total skill at? Do you have protection on?

A couple other things.....when checking skill levels, make sure you "show real." Also, and I know you're going to hate this but I have found it to be true.....die. Dying seems to reset your ability to gain, assuming the skills are turned up and others to decrease. Good luck!

I died once yesterday when dueling somebody, and still it doesn't work.

Protection drops your "real" Spell Resist skill, what is your total skill shown?

Click on the "show real" and see if it's at 700.

It's at 700, but I've got skills around 30 that are pointed down.

Try casting protection on yourself again and then see what the skill level is at.

You should be able to gain if they are pointed down, but if you are going to drop those skills completely anyway, I'd suggest flushing them with a soulstone if you have one.

This may sound lame, but with the skills that are turned down, you may want to try turning them back up, wait a couple seconds, and then turn them back down again, to try and reset it back to decreasing points.

It does sound lame ... but you know what ... that has worked for me in the past. I suggest re-setting the arrows on BOTH the skill you wish to raise and the skill you wish to lower.
