Ive never met such a scary monster as a Titan. They are strong, can cast strong magic and command respect..or your dead. They are also very noisy and scare the b'jesus out of me. How they get that big and strong on lettuce heads and carrots I dont know.

Whats your scariest monster?

Used to be the balron and ancient wyrm before AOS. I've fond memories of trying to recover my stuff (after having died) in the middle of that swamp inside of Terathan Keep with all the terathans and the balron around..........on foot, and all I had was my newb-blessed drums, 86 provoking a very distracting bead of sweat inching down my forehead. Good times.

The balron is fast, hits like 5 trucks and will keep you on your toes until it breathes its last breath.

Now, I think I would have to say a dread spider. They always kind of creeped me out before. Since they got beefed up however, I avoid them like the plague.

Before AOS, definatly the ancient wyrm or balron
They could take out a ton of white wyrms and still have life left to kill you with.
Mind you this was during the days you could command unlimited number of pets
Since AOS? hmm...skeletal dragon perhaps

Heheh, alright here's another monster that was once to be feared (not sure if it still functions the same, but during its introduction....wow): the plague beast. They were introduced with the scenarios of LBR. The thing was, plague beasts would eat nearby corpses and become stronger and yielded more (really nice) loot. My goal essentially was to provoke as many monsters on the plague beast as possible, get it really strong then hope beyond all hopes that I could down it with a swarm of blade spirits.

Well, one time I got a plague beast to be *really* powreful... and then accidently lured it inside the Minoc guard zone by mistake. Well, a guard teleported in and started whacking it. Now we all know that guards are the best hands down.. but it took this guard roughly 10 hits to down the beast. I was in shock and amazement.

Lich Lords and Ancient Lich

When I first started I hated hearing a gargoyle.... I knew (being on a 14.4 dial up connection) I'd be dead before I saw it.

First one was a Terrathan Avenger, during T2A

Second was a Balron ( I finally lived long enough to get UNDER the keep)

Third was the Succubus

Fourth was the zombie dragon

Since then, they just dont seem the same.

i would have to say the Yamandon from tokuno is very scary. If your ever in the swamps where they live and one targets you, you dont even have to think you just run.
