Hello everyone..
I played UO for a long time but got out of it about 2 years ago. I have just recently thought about coming back and giving it another go but i'm a bit confused about something.. Since my dad got rid of all the UO stuff we had ( played on his account) which versions will I need to buy?
Also which servers would be good to start out on?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Soon there will be new expansion out UO: Kingdom reborn...and thats a free one everyone will upgrade to over the internet

As far as what server to play depends on your play time and geographical location. Just let us know about where you are and we will try to help you out. Some say that you can look at the latency and packet loss when looking at the server names and just pick the lowest one

If you buy a copy of UO:9th Anniversary Collection, you will have access to all current expansions. This box isn't expensive at all, and can probably be found very cheaply now at some outlets.

A new UO client with all new artwork will be released by download this spring, it is called UO:Kingdom Reborn. It won't be a box sold in stores, but will be available by download for players who already have UO installed. It is free, there is no charge for it at all.

A new UO expansion will be coming out this fall, it is called UO: Stygian Abyss. It will introduce a new playable race (gargoyle), new dungeon, presumably new landmass. There will be a charge for the expansion, which hasn't yet been determined.

If you don't wish to purchase the UO: 9th Anniversary box, you can download the UO client from the www.uo.com website, but you will not have access to all content unless you also pay for UO:Mondaine's Legacy upgrade code. I'd suggest going with the boxed set myself, so you have everything and a disc to reinstall if you run into problems.

I think you will realy enjoy UO now, I had recently returned also and find that there are way more things to do, almost overwelming for the first few months, trying to catch up.....but A LOT of fun content has been added imo
server choice depends on what type of play style you have though....

Hi, I would also like to say welcome back!

I just started the game myself - not a returning player, though - and I think you can just do a google search for the Ultima:Gold client.

Also, about the Kingdom Reborn. That's coming out sometime in Spring 2007; a totally new 3D graphics client, because the current 3D client is being discontinued and replaced. The new client will basically make the game have graphics on par with some of the newer Baulder's Gate and Icewind Dale series'! I personally cannot wait.
