Religion and Noblety of KR

I can't find anything about the nobililty and the religion of KR. What gods does KR have? What about priests and priestresses? What about Light and Dark and the witches, which mostly believe, you have to embrace both of those sides to be neutral?

What about nobility? who is the King or are the Kings? Counts and other nobility? Knights of those Kings? Leader of the citys? Which city is the Home of the darkies? which is the home of the light (uses to be britain, as I know from other shards).

Things, which lays grounds to rp. Without it, there is no true basis for rp. And I actually don't want to have my charakter say, he doesn't even know the names of the gods. Doesn't even know, who the King of this land is.

Can you help me to find sites to read up about KR religion and Nobility or tell me about this things?

Thank you for helping.

Re: Religion and Noblety of KR

KR is a client just like 2D. Just don't want you to confuse a client with UO. At one time there was "King British". I don't think that character exists anymore. So in UO there is no gods, noblety, kings, counts, knights, leaders. Other then the ones that players make. As a player or group of players you can make UO what ever you want (excluding breaking any agreements made by having the account) .

To find more information on what is going on already. Find the shard forum you are playing on. See what is going on. Europa and Chessy are two very active RP shards. Chessy seems to be player town oriented where Europa is more town centered. Both seem to have a lot of things going on.

Hope this helps some. I don't think it is the answer you wanted but it is the way UO is played

Re: Religion and Noblety of KR

I'm playing UO for years - play on a german shard, which endeed has nobility formed of players. this is, why I ask... if there is no nobility, no gods, no believes, you can't really rp, for there is no reason for dark side and light side. no reason for fights between leaders of the citys or the noble of dark and light. I can't find sites of KR in the forum, where I can read up to these things.

Re: Religion and Noblety of KR

Ultima does not have an established religion; instead it has the Eight Virtues (which some may see as a religion) but really are more of a system of ethics. Of course, that can't stop you from making up your own gods, if you're a good enough roleplayer, and forming your own religion.

As for nobility, there is a vague nod from the devs that maybe there is some sort of governing council that possibly exists and conceivably does stuff that might have something to do with what can be loosely described as story line (I'm certain of that). Other than that there is nothing.

I'm a bit confused by this because you said this right after saying there was player-formed nobility. And if they can form it, if they can roleplay, what's stopping you?

Still we loom in the mists as the ages roll away,
And we say of our folk, "they are here!"
That they built us and they died and you'll not be knowing why,
Save we stand on the bare plains of Wiltshire.

Re: Religion and Noblety of KR

Read this: http://www.notableultima.com/history...Britannia.html
Up until the point where it says "the Stranger shatters Mondain's Gem of Immortality", it is accurate for the worlds of UO.
At this point, the timelines diverge (though bits and pieces have happened).

Some notes about Britannian time: http://uo.stratics.com/content/basics/datetime.shtml

A few Britannian years before the release of UO, the town of Paws was destroyed.

Late 1998 - The Lost Lands (T2A) are discovered. Passageways to this area are openned by a failed attempt at casting the Armageddon spell.

Early 2000 - Evil forces attack multiple cities of Britannia (Undead invade Trinsic, humanoids invade Yew, Trolls/Ogres invade Vesper, Lizard/Ratmen invade Britain), led by the evil Lady Minax. Lord British disappears during this time (his council taking over rule). When the battles seem all but lost, the Arch Mage Nystul casts a spell that "creates" (there is a dispute as to weither he created it, or simply created a passageway to it - intentionally left open by the developers) a copy of the existing Britannia with some protection against great evil. The copy is dubbed Trammel, and the original Felucca, after the twin moons of Sosaria.

Felucca becomes ruled by four factions, all fighting eachother over control of the towns. One is loyal to Minax (Evil Order), one to the shadowlords (Evil Chaos), one to the Council of Mage (Good Chaos), and one to Lord British (Good Order).

The realm of Ilshenar is discovered, with history too rich to detail here. An evil entity by the name of Exodus corrupts Lord Blackthorn, turning him into an evil robot guy. A lady named Dawn emerges to help defeat Lord Blackthorn.

2003 - The lands of Malas, a world of Paladins and Necromancers, is discovered. The land is a crumbling continent floating above a void.

Blackthorn is defeated during an attempted attack against Dawn during a speech. Blackthorn gets burried at his original keep in Felucca Britain.

Lord British returns, gives a speech, then leaves to the Void with the shards of the Gem of Immortality. He is never seen again.

Late 2004 - The lands of Tokuno are discovered. Tokuno contains the city of Zento, ruled by an Empress. It is a land of ninjas and samurai, and other oriental-like culture.

Mid 2005 - The elves are re-united with Sosaria. It is learned that Heartwood, the city of the elves, was thrown through time when the Gem of Immortaliy was shattered. A gate leading to their city appears in the center of Yew. Some new dungeons are discovered in existing lands.

2006 through early 2007: http://www.uoevents.net/

edit:: And the history does have many additional bits that I didn't list here, including many things that are unique to specific shards.
As far as religions go, that is very very open. Since it is very possible to world-hop according to Ultima Lore, including going to and from Earth, and since all PCs are by default (though not all choose to play this way) from another world to start with, you can make up whatever you want.
The typical beliefs of native Britannians would be that of the Virtues, but that is typically more of a system of morals than a religion. Some do, however, believe that there are 8 Beings of Virtue known as the Lords and Ladies of Virtue.

edit2::
And the current government for Tokuno is still the Empress. Felucca is still the Factions. Britannia, The Lost Lands, and Malas are the Britannian Council. The Britannian Council, however, has shown lately to be corrupt and inneffective, so many do not respect their rule. They do still have guards in all cities that are capable of magically teleporting and instantly killing (death, in Britannia, is not permanent) any who perform a criminal action within "Justice Zones". "Justice Zones" are magical barriers set up around the cities and moongates, but they have been disrupted multiple times in the past by invading forces, but they are currently all running strong.
