YOu could have been thinking of the fire beetle or something. I saw that that one takes about 93 taming. That one doesn't seem worth it to me, though, since he can't be used as a pack animal. That's why I want a Giant Beetle in the first place. I can ride one and store stuff in him.

I don't know what a blade spirit is. I think I saw it mentioned before, but I don't have anyone with the ability to summon them at the moment. I might have stood a better chance, but I had two beetles on me at once, and I kept having to climb into a hole and heal. When I went back both were after me again.

Since the rest has been pretty much covered, I wanted to inquire about this.

Do you mean you have 50-52 in ALL weapon skills on one character??

I ask, because there is a 700 point skill cap in game (based on account age, every year up to 4th you get +5 to max out at 720) and having more than one weapon skill will severely handicap you (as you won't be able to maximize their potential or you can, and have little supportive skills).

*nodnod* For now he's got around 50-52 in all the main weapons. When I decide on a weapon type, or if I just need the skill points for something else, I'll set something to drop. I wanted to do the new player quests in New Haven. ^_^ But I can't decide which weapon type to go for with him, since I tend to just use whatever I find.

mewmew, you inspired me. I am creating a list of warrior / new player quests in heartwood (plus reward) based on difficulty of creature. Be a day or so before I finsih it. But thank you.

Ah, I see. Well, have fun trying out different weapon types, each has their benefits with most people settling on Fencing or Swordsmanship.

For the most part, they have the better special moves, faster hitting, and have far more in circulation if/when you look to buy any.
