Do you need to be GM to eat a scroll for the special recipes?

I wouldnt think so. Maybe youd need the minimum required skill for the item...

I think most of the arties are 85 or 90 skill....dont rightly know though...

Nope, do not need to be GM, I think you just need to have .1 in the skill.

You have to have the minimum amount of skill to make the item before you can eat the scroll for it. Otherwise you will get the "You do not have enough skill to make this item/learn this recipe" or somesuch. Trust me, I've tried it tons of times with all the discarded recipes lying around the Bowyers shop in Heartwood.
