well, I have a list and am still trying to fully reorient myself to UO after 5 years away :-P

currently at 90 archery, gains are slow on earth eles in shame, alternative suggestions? And i get owned hardcore by any mage/caster mobs due to only having about 72 resist, is the best way to raise that to still do fire fields and run around in them alot?
Chivalry is new to me and a lot of the spells i dont understand, suggestions on basic uses and best way to raise chivalry?
Is physical Resist on armor basically its AC? does a chain tunic with 13 resist do better than a plate with 9?
and does 1 reflect damage = 1 physical resist + a reflect?

1 try a cheap npc bought bow if still not gaining goto sollens outside wind , or get a golem and a 100% poison weapon if you can find a prepatched golem from what i understand .


on armor i may be wrong here , but it is my understanding that heavier armor restricts ur movement more, there for lowering ur swingspeed , but it supposedly cant take more abuse . most of my chars even my warriors wear leather and do ok other than haven to repair after every battle. ur goal on resist is to have all 70 but above 60s works ok .

reflect damage is if lets say some one has a 100% physical damage weapon and does 40 points damage and 10% reflect that person will receave 4 points of damage .

You could try Ogre Lords in Despise for gains. NPC bought bow will make for a fairly long fight, but you should get decent gains...

The fire field trick doesnt work anymore because Magic Resist onylhelps you against non-direct-damage spells (Curse, Arch Curse, Mana Drain, Mana Vamp, you get the idea) The only exception to the rule is getting magically poisoned. Resist can help you totally resist the poison, and I think can knock the level of poison down if you dont resist it completely.

Chiv Spells

On Gaining Chiv: As far as armor; nothing affects Dex anymore and all damages are spereated into categories of type (Physical, Fire, Cold, Poison, and Energy) and what you have for the resistance of the type of damage being thrown at you will decrease the amount of damage by that percent.

Reflect Physical Damage sends a portion (equivalent to the total percent of Reflect Phys that you have across youre entire suit) of that damage back at the attacker. If I rememer correctly, its more of a "copy and paste" idea than a "cut and paste" In other words, you still take all the damage, but they get a protion back on top of the original...not totally sure on that though.

NOTE: If you are getting hit with "elemental" damage (Fire, Cold, etc.) Reflect Phys is not going to do anthing.

it is what ever % 10 20 whtatever it may be of damage u receive . so no it dont reflect it away
