Re: Question of the Week - Insurance Money

I'm gonna have to get in the habit of insuring my weapons I guess.. Now that I think about it, I spend much more gold shopping for new weapons to replace those that I've lost then I would on insurance. doh.

Re: Question of the Week - Insurance Money

Hmm I dont really know, I do not really keep track, but I would say a fair amount.

I have died many many times.... My stupid bard started out packing all sorts of junk insured lol... 3-4 slayer instruments, paired with weapon slayers, more weapons, chiv jewlery to rez people....

Dunno how many times them Citadel traps took out my fighter.... Sigh

Never mind I lost something like 10 or 15 bags of sending... grrr! I stopped bringing them after a while lol...

And yeah I was broke bigtime after a while... Had to go back to Tokuna to do some gold farming.... Gold sinks???!!! I am already sunk!!! hehe

Re: Question of the Week - Insurance Money

over 500K, Actually I am pretty sure I lost very close to that in my first Mel run in Fel. I kept my death robs to how many times I died and it was close to 30. It took us 2 hours to kill her.

Re: Question of the Week - Insurance Money

Well, considering I am rather new to the game (a little over 1 year), I have probably dropped somewhere near 250k in insurance (or more). My first experience with peerless was a community hunt to Grizzle. I burned through a rather tidy sum of cash in the opening stages gathering keys (probably 15-20 deaths) and then proceeded to die repeatedly at the hands of the beast himself. Finally, at the point the system told me I could not insure my items any longer, I realized my error and tucked my tail between my legs and skulked out of there. I lost everything that night, including the proverbial shirt-off-my-back. Thankfully, guildmates were kind enough to resupply me, and I keep a careful tab on my funds these days.

Re: Question of the Week - Insurance Money

I learn by making frequently deadly mistakes, probably donated 100k to the insurance sink. However, knowledge gained does improve my chances of survival and I end up with much more gp earned than lost.
