Lately while reading other boards, there has been a good mix of complaints and praise for the EMs and their events.

So this week I'm taking a look at EM events and how you feel about them. A couple parts to this poll...

Personally I love our EM. I play Napa Valley, and other EM's from other shards have actually commented to me that we do have one of the better ones.

I find the events very creative and most people enjoy them. They are always on time, rarely any screw ups...just overall pretty good.
Our Em's notification system got picked up by a lot of the shards, which was great. His idea was a lantern in the castle, and I know many of the Em's have picked the system up and use something of their own.

My guild and I try to participate as often as I can. I'm sad I missed the last story arc because of my personal life being so hectic, but I've always played along.

Our last events with the blue dragon Talkeesh, I even went to the evil side (even though our guild is Seekers of Virtue) and let me tell ya, my guild kill me many of times until I lied...uh...convinced them that I was undercover hehe

I quite enjoy our EM and it seems most people on Napa do.

Reason I miss 'em on both Siege and Sonoma.

Naw that's being too picky in my opinion. You can't please everyone. Most EM's do it at a time best for their shard time...if they don't, well then I assume people don't like them hehe

It's not their fault that some people who play on the east coast, play a west coast shard. But that's why I said post comments..I can't list all the complaints people have about their ems hehehe...we'd be here all day!

I have no idea on how to tell if Lake Superior is haveing an event. I have only ever seen one and that was a good time. If anyone knows how to tell if there is an event on LS please drop me a line.

Sonoma's EM, Masara, is an absolute doll. She's friendly and personable and very level headed. She handles the griefers in a polite manner and never abuses her role. In addition, she spends the ingame time she's alotted attending player run events as well. Its very apparent that she loves her shard and its people.

The Siege EM, Anissa is ok. She does the best job she can in a Fel ruleset during an event and she tries to keep an eye on the reporters as well.. my first Siege event, she must have rez'd me 20 times before finally stopping me and saying "Sit still and stop dying!" *laugh* On the social side however, she doesn't attend many player events unless their run by her personal friends. But, then again, they're not obligated to spend their ingame time with players at all, so meh.

I 'believe' that LS 's 'sign' of EM events is a lantern in the throne room at castle brit...up to an hour before event is to begin...but I can't be positive of that...'bout 95% sure

Well I said I participate as often as I can. I'm usually dead though, so I'm really just trying to watch. I just wish there's an event that doesn't involve way too much monsters that I can't handle. Something that even a new player can do.

same here I have tried to participate but its such a lag fest usually I die and sit there dead most of the time so lately I just dont go plus I usually dont know when they are happenieng

They're usually around 7-8pmPST. No set days I think. I just try and run by the castle and see if the shield and fish and people are there. Or I'd hear about it in guildchat.

On legends I have to say the EM isn't doing such a great job. I'd love to take part in them but I don't even know they are happening until I fid out by Stratics' via the Legends forums and even then I hardly know what happens. I'm on alot of the time and so if there is ever a mass system message like we use to get I don't see them. And some of the EM events on our shard never seem to get finished. if someone says there other's are getting favoritism with the EM then things go to hell. when we had the Nightmare Casino it was destroyed because others said that the player that was selected to run the casino due to the EM was leaving others said that the person that would be left in charge was getting Favoritizm and other such none sense so they just said screw it and burned it. With no explanation for it. Also if you look around varity of places alot of the things from old events where never finished. I mean a building in Trinisic has the roof on fire still from 2 or so years ago event. I would have to say Legends has the worst Events because they never get finished and alot of the time there is events the only folks you see at them are those that say "Gimmie a sash" And when they get them the next hour you see it on a vendor for about 4 to 6 million. I personally think the Events have lost its orginial meaning for storyline for rp to allow players to take part in the world around us.

I would say there does need to be some sort of notification for the events tho... I know its my own fault, but I always hear about the events afterwards, and the times I have gone to serpents hold the gem is green and nothing is going on... then whoops you missed it.... :embarasse
