Question concerning a newbie quest

I'm in the New Haven area and am stuck on one of the quests. I'd love it if someone could help me figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I accepted the ore quest from Mugg. He's asking for 5 large ore. Well being a miner, I grabbed my shovel and dug up 5 large ore. When I dropped them on him, he said I had to mark my quest items and then give them to him.

My question is how do I mark the quest items? Is there a magical Ore Sharpie that allows me to scribble my name on the rocks?

Any help is greatly appreaciated. Thanks!!

Are you playing 2d or KR? If 2d, then you just single-click yourself, that should bring out the menu. Pick Mark Quest Item. That will bring up the targetting cursor. Then just click on your ores. That will highlight your ores. It will also tell you when you have marked enough quest items. Then just double click on the NPC.

Not sure how this is done in KR.

For anyone using KR, it's the same process except that to get the menu you <control - Left Click> yourself.

It's not explained in the quest dialogs for any of the "collect X # of things" quests.

Granted I didn't really read the New Player Guides that are available, but you'd think it would at least get a cursory explanation somewhere ingame.

hmmmmm, have you guys reported that via feedback? Not that I expect them to fix Haven anymore, but heck, at leat we tried.
