Question about recycling ...
One of my characters keeps turning clothes into bandaids instead of cloth.
The uoassist settings are the same as other characters but this one character just keeps making the clothes (in the recycle bag) into aids. under UOA Keys --- Recycle is set to unravel ... anyone know what i am doing wrong? TY ![]() |

Re: Question about recycling ...
I'm pretty sure you need to have some amount of tailoring skill when cutting up clothes to make into cloth. I read that somewhere, but for the life of me can't find it now
![]() Ok, found this on the Tailor boards on Stratics: What is recycling? Recycling is when you cut up the items that you have crafted to get the resources back, this can be done with both cloth and leather items. Bone armour and oil cloths cannot be recycled, oil cloths can however be cut into bandages. The higher your tailoring skill the more leather/cloth you'll be able to salvage. When you hit Master Tailor you should be able to usually get half the leather/cloth back that it took to make the item. This saves a lot of time and/or money when you're in the last big pull to GM and don't want to spend time or money on gathering leather or wool to make cloth. It still doesn't say what skill level you need to be at to make cloth, so I'll keep searching. ![]()

Re: Question about recycling ...
I think perhaps some clothing can't be turned back into cloth and just goes into aids. I could however be wrong about this. I know Oil Cloths can only become aids(which is why I have about 3000 green aids).

Re: Question about recycling ...
So the reason she is probably cutting them directly into aids is because the clothing she is making probably only takes 2 cloth. This she can not get back 50% of her cloth because she is not 90+ tailoring.
