last night i was turning in stuff at collection box for spring clean up . A friend can by to visit . He double clicked the collection box to look at reward choices as had done no turn in . he asks me about the book for 5000 poits i say what book . he says the book i look 2 others looks no book so i run and get him 5000 points he turns it in and i know turn ot in and get book virtues by lord british . none of us could get it and once he selected it and got it was no longer on his list we tried to duplicate and could not with a bunch of char only thing we could not try that was different from us was that he had 2 virtues was working on compared to us with one or none. his char was paladin and had not turned in anything

That is very interesting. I have a char that is working on three of the virutres. I wil have to try this tonight.

That's weird cause there is no book in the list of rewards. I also checked with my chars in-game.

Very strange indeed I turned in all sorts of things and I can guarentee I never saw a book....

Dont think it has anything to do with how many things you hand in. I don't think its a reward, just a clever way to get 5000 points.

Heh... me thinks your friend ripped you off 5000 points. -.- Was he wearing the earrings after as well?

Anyway, the "Virtues, by Lord British" book can be found in UO I believe. It may be one of the library hand in rewards. I think. I am not 100% sure, I'll have to check later.

Virtue, by Lord British is a white-hued book obtained during the cloak of humility quest given by Gareth the Emissary. At the appropriate step in the quest, one goes to the Britain library and donates 75k gp, at which point the book will be selectable as one of the rewards. It is needed to proceed with the quest.

As above - your friend is probably at that stage of the quest which just requires him to get the book from a collection box in Britain - obviously the quest doesn't differentiate between the turn-in box for the event and the library turn-ins.

That's interesting. I did that quest so long ago I forgot about that.
