Purple book skills

How do you macro the first and secondary abilites in that purple book in your paperdoll?

I went to make macros and found "primaryabilites" and "secondaryabilites" but it didn't have that long bar to type in or select which one I wanted. Is there something I am missing or I am doing this wrong?

Just set one button to Primary Ability and another button to Secondary ability. The ability used will depend on the weapon you currently have equipped.

Say you're swinging at a couple of ogre lords with a soul seeker. Your primary ability macro is set to F1, for example. While swinging, you press F1 - preparing the whirlwind ability to land on the next successful strike (should you have the mana and/or skill level required). Press it again before you strike and you'll deactivate it.

I'm trying to remember coz I'm at work.

I think I have two macros set up, one for the primary and one for the secondary. I'm not sure how to set-up just one macro to switch back and forth between primary and secondary. Is that what you're looking for?
