i have a quick question if i currently play uo and i have 2 characters on my account and i wanted to purchase someones account from say ebay yes i know it's banned there. am i actually paying for there monthly bill when i purchase there account or am i paying to have there say 3 characters transfered over to my account if thats possible.

You can't transfer characters between accounts. It has been talked about but I don't think it will ever happen .

If you want to use the characters they have, you will have to pay for there account.

ok now i understand but it is feasable to log on under both accounts at the same time and transfer say houses weapons and so on.correct

As long as you have two computers and/or windows xp and use switch users. Can't run two UO clients under the same window

i have windows xp so how exactly would that work i log in nder my account then diminish the screen then log under the possible new account then say meet up in the game then transfer. and thanks for the imput so far

Sorta...you have to have two window user accounts. Enable fast user switching in XP. Start a different UO account logged in under each of the different window users. Then use the fast switch feature to change between UO accounts. It's not easy but it can be done. Hopefully you will be able to do everything in a safe/secure setting. Wouldn't want to try doing things this way in a "HOT" fel spot. Good way to end up with lots of characters dead .

I have a laptop and a desktop PC, so I run 2 accounts by running both computers at the same time. Having access to two computers is easier than XP's user switching, since you have to log off of one user in order to switch over to the other user. So, you can have both accounts logged in simultaneously, but you can only control one account at a time.

For example - let's say I want to transfer a pet from one account to the other. I log into UO on one account. Then log off Windows and switch to the other user. Log in to the other user in Windows and fire up UO, and log into the 2nd account. Initiate transfer, then log off Windows user and switch to the first account. Accept the transfer, the log off Windows and switch back to the second account. Then finish up, close down UO on the second account, log off the second Windows user, and log back in the first Windows user.

(ie. it's a pain in the arse! It works, but it not the easiest way of doing things!)

Or simply buy the account, have the house holder char go in and crate everything up. make the crates co-owner accessible, then co-own one of your original account chars to the house and he can move everything at will.
I highly doubt we will ever see the ability to transfers chars from one account to another.
The bean counters would have a fit when they see how many accounts would be dropped.

Just another way to go about it without having to jump thru the XP hoops.

Good point Se'an - of my 4 accounts, only 1 is full of characters. The others have at most 2 each! Consolidation would kill the accountants hehe.
