I bought the 9th anniversary box and installed the cds and i got my tokens and all that but when i go into my account on uo.com and put in the code then it wants me to enter my credit card number again so i did that but it wont say registered on the screen where it has all the UO expansions. I got my tokens and that was the important thing for me but i was just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.

It's common, I'm afraid. A workaround can be found here.

Yeah. I had this problem too. And you might have to use the "workaroud" several times before it works around. heh.

I've heard a lot of problems arising from upgrading recently. Most problems have to do with macroes being reset, others are also having blue screens more frequently after registering. I personally have not bought the 9th edition due to lack of interest on my part (i dont care much for house deco) and now lookin at it from the outside i'm glad i didn't till they fix what's going on here.

I am starting to think that too, especailly resetting of macros and the blue screen... that would stink! >_<

Hope they get all this fixed because it makes me wonder about there "new"
3D client. Will it have just as many problem as this 9th anniversary?

Unless macros are saved to desktop before installation of any upgrade, they'll be lost. I'd be inclined to investigate a little further before I lay this particular problem at EA's door.

What's the blue screen? All I can think of is what we get at work, we call it the blue screen of death. Everytime there's an update in our system, some computers get it, then they have to do a complete re-imaging of the comps.

Before we re-installed uo, we made we had a copy of the desktop folder, so all our macros were fine after the install.

The only problem we had was we had to go through the process of entering the update code a few times.

So lets see, blue screen of death, having to re-enter the codes, having to save macros, Samhain and I am sure a few other people not getting thier promotinal codes... very discouraging. It ALMOST sounds like this was rushed... maybe not but just strange there is so many problems

Yeah I might miss out on the goodies but that is very conserning, even yahoo doesn't give the blue screen of death and it is not a great program hehe.

If you guys just re-load just the normal expansion before 9th anniversary do you guys no longer have to deal with the blue screen? I hope they put in a patch for those who got 9th anniversary... that isn't good at all.

My WoW'er friends can not believe half the stuff I am saying that people are having problems with on this 9th anniversary thing... I can't neither... I figure EA would do good for the UO'ers but they seem like they are not caring much at all.

They also dropped the game "Earth and Beyond" which happened awhile back and said they do another game but people that worked so hard in that game said, "No, you could have fixed what needed to be fixed but you drop the entire thing, and said they not going to play any other EA game."

As Terrance has mensioned, they are not putting "Ultima" back into "Ultima Online." They put err strange "crystal" housing tiles and a bunch of other things.

I will not stop playing UO but they are really showing a face I was really hoping not to see =( They don't seem to really put in the efforts into things to make things work and such, and there was a thread on here that said someone could fix thier tribal mask and I assume that problem has been around for awhile and they still exist.

The shard being shut down and 2 of my pets, very well loved pets disapper. Where is in WoW even when I had my hunter and her pet out... I get totally booted out of the shard and my pet is still there... Even in EQ, etc...

I logged out of the Atlantic shard when they first said they going to shut it down and I loose 2 pets and not going to help me with that? =*(

Sorry just this is disappointing to see that this game I love so much and they hardly taking care of Ultima Online... I know they are busy with the newest
3D client lanching sometime in 2007 but they really need to take care of what needs to be done, I'd say they need to work on this 9th anniversary thing first sense it is a limited time thing and then work on things that are important and they go to the lesser imporant issues and slowly with time they will have eveything working or least for the most part and make it much more enjoyable for everyone.

EA gots my WoW'er friends never even wanting to touch a EA game for this fact... they are making it look so bad and if not mistaken they laid off alot of thier workers at one time? Why, so they didn't have to spend nearly as much money and later realized they needed them people?

Sorry just... like I said kind of sad. I really again hope they get this stuff fixed for you all. This shouldn't happen or least not like this... nothing is perfect but alot of problems and well you all paid for this 9th anniversary and also we pay for the game and not much is being fixed... a few things I see in patches but not alot...

Upgraded 3 accounts, no problems at all. Eowyna is right though. Any physical upgrade will overwrite your desktop.
A long time ago I copied that whole destop folder to a backup location, every once in a while I'll remember to do it again to save the newer stuff or changes. I think it a great habit to get into.
