![]() | Pricing, and Warrior Updates! My first character, ever, was a warrior. He has gone through so many major changes i start to forget what I have tried and not tried. I started him as a fencer back in 2000 i think it was... Don't quote me on that. And as a newb, I did not know what was required.. so he was raising taming/animal lore/resists/tactics/fencing. Eventually I got some talking too I dropped taming/animal lore, took up healing, changed to a sword build, grabbed parry. This lasted me a while, until i started the pvp game. Back in "the day" of pvp, lumberjacking+vanq axe was absolute slaughter. That eventually became my build. And over time I picked up archery for PvE. Nothing slaughtered golems in ilsh better than a good vanq bow and lots of running! He is now Lumberjacking Swordsman Resists Tactics Anatomy Healing Archery This needs an update! My warrior dies as fast as my tamer. I feel a bit doomed when liches are 2 shotting me, while im watching this archer 6 shot a reptalon... (labryth collect the artifacts quest suck btw, bye 75k worth of insurance and 2 reptalon pets.. gah) Currently I have him running around in a mix of spined studded and golden armor, (706 luck altogeather.. is there a cap for this stat?) Hes using a magic bow, with some interesting stats, but pathetic damage (13 a hit, not even pixies run from that, I run from pixies however!) And a soul seeker, which has very impressive damage and effects. I am not training to melee though, I want to go archery. I want to have that ability to hunt reptalons and not spend 20 minutes casting energy vortexes to do it! (Or other high end mobs) I was thinking ninjitsu, but this would require hiding and stealth it looks like? Or not really? So what do people use on their archers to not get 2 shotted by casters and completely desecrated in melee by everything else? I can't tell if people are using ninjitsu or bushido when i see these insane archers soloing things my ww cant scratch. I do notice a trend in bows though. "The horselord"! I looked up information on this, is it no longer available in the game? It looks it it requires turning in of tokuno artifacts, but from the information on stratics, it seems to talk about it like the chance for this weapon was in the past. If it is no longer available, what other bows would you suggest? Or how much money should i fork over for one if I see it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (summary below for those that dont want to read this part)The prices in this game are so damn random these days too... I walk around luna looking through vendors trying to claim some sanity pricewise, only to find that vendor 1 is selling spined leather +100 luck +resists for 500,000.. while vendor 4 is selling +111 luck +resists +hp regen for 10,000. And power scrolls, this one is a bit off topic, but what exactly should i pay for these? The prices are also sporadic, when i think i am getting a great deal, i return an hour later and see a vendor nearby selling it for 20k less. This has happened 3-4 times. I bought taming +110 for 50k, and thought "wow! what a steal!" after seeing it on someones vendor for 200k, and another for 300k. The next day, i see it for 20k... Then again Vet, 115k scroll for 75k, 2 days later, 115 scroll for 45k. I suppose people are appealing to people like me, who fall for this sort of thing. Which is why I usually try to educate myself. in the old ultima days, prices were never like this... i could have told someone the price for every single item in my house+3 houses nearby, and chances are those prices would stick around for months before changing. I am doomed now. So to recap on what was said above for those that do not feel like reading it. --What should I buy and for how much when it comes to an archer type? --What should I buy a taming+115, Animal lore +115, and Magery +115 scroll for, each? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! The market on scrolls or any items fluctuates due to supply and demand. I have seen vendors selling +10 skill scrolls for 10k, or selling the ones in higher demand - like taming, or eval int- for 100k. Do you want this to be a pvp char or pvm? Chivalry is good for pvm. If you want to make him into a tamer/archer, you will need some magery to gate your pets around until they bond and can recall with you. ![]() We are all broken and wounded in this world. ![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! Already have my tamer, so no on the taming. He is strictly archer/(ninja/bushido/chivalry whatever works best) As for pvp/pvm? I might throw some pvp in there, but i am more interested in a quick killing pve character to get my other characters some artis.. they are all so outdated. |

![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! Currently at around 58 chivalry then... and down by 30k. I guess It isn't so bad though, considering the old days where reagents would cost more than 10 gold per spell. For some reason however, its killing me ;p Does 8x8 still work btw? And would it be safe to drop swords for focus? I already have lumber to almost 0 from chiv/focus gains. Focus seems to be a surefire requirement though for the paladin type.. Also, I still need to know if those artis still exhist ^^ I could really use a better bow.. or any suggestions on what stats for a bow would be great. He still gets destroyed by casters. I have access to the 8th age quiver reward.. but I am wondering if i can just sell the 8th age token, and buy the quiver in order to make some profit and buy myself some better armor (unless full spined/golden and 700ish luck works^^). Do people go for that? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! focus helps with mana regen, so you may want some of it. You can also wear mana regen items tho too which would help. I personally would probably go with resist, tactics, archery, anat and healing all scrolled out as high as you can. Then leave leftover points in focus, and wear mana regen items. ![]() We are all broken and wounded in this world. Some choose to grow strong at the broken places. --Harold J. ![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! I have been training the warrior up and need some suggestions. He is currently... 72.4 Chivalry 100 focus 90.5 Healing 79.1 resist 101.7 archery 100 tactics 103.2 anatomy Obviously I cant max all of them. Its decision making time. I was thinking of stopping at 80 with chiv, that should reduce the fizzling on everything that is required i would think... not 100% sure though. Focus is awesome for this build. I can wear some somewhat good resist gear and not be useless on mana Love healing ;p I have seen people with 120 resist and it is beautiful.. I was thinking of going all the way with it. It is, in my opinion, the hardest skill to raise however. Archery is a no brainer. Maxing my weapons kill ftw. Tactics and anatomy are similiar.. anatomy seems to do more though.. So as you can see, I am stuck at this point. What do i drop/Raise? And yes, this build is going to be somewhat pvp centered now. I joined a champ spawn farming guild and cant be complete crap in pvp ![]() What do you all suggest I stick with/drop? And what stats to compliment this build... It seems like i can only raise one stat a day (I spent 1 hour on saturday, 1 hour on sunday, and a half an hour today juggling music/arms lore trying to raise dex.. without luck. It is currently 78, with 110 str, and 45 int. I gained about 1 stat point per session. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! for a good damage outputting dexxer, I would use both chiv and bushido. In pvm you can survive without resist, but some people really rely on it. you can erase any curse or poison with chiv. But you can fit resist on a powerhouse dexxer. Go a skillset something like this 120 weapon skill 110 anat 110 tact 90 heal 100 bushido 80 chiv 110 resist those are just kinda play around numbers, you can mix em up and down to your liking. try to go elf, you get 20 extra mana, 110 str is a good start. ATLEAST 125 dex, throw the rest into int and wear on your armor mana inc, mana regen, hp inc, lmc, and you should be fine. Get a weapon with mana leech, life leech, hci, di. For pvp, you are going to want those mods plus things like SSI, Hit lower defense, hit lower attack, and hit spells, like hit fireball, lightning, harm. Stuff like that That template will survive in a champ spawn environment. Honor the champ, lightning strike every time and you should do well. Just remember, other pvpers hate archers, so be prepapred to get the "pwned you archer nub" comments.. I say, you pay for the acct, you do what you want with it. If you wanted to make a fisherman/ninja/tailor/archer, more power to you! ![]() ![]() |

![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! What would you suggest for stats (str/int/dex) without items? And is 100 bushido really required? There are not many high stat requirement abilities, i think it cuts off at 70 with momentum strike. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Pricing, and Warrior Updates! you can stop your bushido at 70, but the reason for keeping it higher is to get critical lightning strikes to hit at a more reliable rate. at 70 good luck at ever casting evade either. you will fizzle it more often than you succeed. At atleast gm, you are guaranteed to hit your evasion, get better confidence gains, and hit your crit hits, eventhough its only 35 damage, it helps. ![]() ![]() |
