![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Pet Training I don't know if this has been asked before, but I imagine it has....I just can't find anything with it. What is the best way to train your pets? If you don't want to be in a dungeon? If you want to be on your roof top? |

There used to be a bug where they could train against one another in tram, without damage, and gain skills. Now it is fixed so they have to be in a situation to take damage in order to gain skills. Take it and train it on something which it already has naturally high resists on. Like a white wyrm on artic ogre lords, or a dragon on demons. You'll still have to vet a lot at first, but when they start getting skills a bit higher then it won't b as often. ![]() We are all broken and wounded in this world. ![]() | Re: Pet Training If you want to train it against another animal on your roof.... I would suggest making some stalls in your house and then going out and taming a "dummy" pet - ie a white wyrm or whatever. Take it to your house and release it in one of the stalls (I don't think it will exit the house at this point)... put your pet in the other stall and go to town. |

My buddy in my guild has GMed every one of his pets this way. Thats just an idea for resist, I trained all my pets skills other than resist, through normal killing of stuff. ![]() ![]() |

They dont take any damage from the pet so all you have to do is sit back and vet. Depending on what youre training, it may be more work vettnig than others. A Cu, for example, needs a little vetting for the first 15 min and then you just need to keep an eye on him and vet rarely. Of course, its not a good idea to start a Ferret off this way ;P |

![]() | Re: Pet Training I think a good way to try is if you have a tamer friend then you could join or start a guild together that way your pets can fight each other and take damage, my friend has a nice blue colour'd Hiryu and I have a nice CU, that was a good fight!!! just sit back chat to each other and heal your pets, they gain quiet nicely... if you can't find a guild with another tamer you could just make your own guild or join another and train on things like a gaman, although week these things are like tanks!, i trained my mare and my cu on a gaman, at first the gaman needed some serious vet but after a while it can take serious damage! and they only take one slot... so you can train your hiryu, cu or runic (maybe a bad idea with the runic as will kill 2 quickly) but still it is quiet fun either way... especially with a friend, that way no need for fel if you don't want to ![]() |
