Re: From The Perspective of a 3D player.

I dont have a real fixation on graphics so changing to 2d (I played 3d for the first 4-5 months? that I played UO) wasnt a huge deal except for the containers. I stil hate the inability to resize container gumps in 2d...

Re: From The Perspective of a 3D player.

The dilemma of the First day without 3D ....
went to place a bulletin board at the sanctuary and darn if the transparency level in 2D opens enough to bounce it up high enough so it looks 'natural'. Forced to let it sit where it landed in 2d because 'you can't raise it any higher'.

Tried to set colors of all the different options given for text and to this time i don't know why they are so 'light' looking in the journal, some work, some don't.

What a strange thing to find ... if you want to place an item on top of another item it no longer tells you what the item is that you are going to be placing the new item on (most merchants will understand that one)

Why is it that your mouse just doesn't want to place something in the spot you tell it to in 2D is there a trick to moving a tile over for placing something?

phew ...

i did enjoy the fact that things are more inline with each other .. example ... my elven armoire doesn't look so big against the wall.

i like that my paperdoll looks smaller because it doesnt need as much space as 3d .. i know what i look like so i didnt really need that wasted space ...

*hope tomorrow i feel a little less cumbersome in the 2D world

Ive always had a problem trying to get those things to sit where I want.

You mean the mouse-over description doesnt show up when you are dragging something else? I truly never noticed one way or the other...that would probably make some stacking a bit easier but I usually just drop stackables into a container where I store them so that they auto-stack...

You mean on the ground/in a house or in a container? If you mean the ground or a house, try playing with the location of your gameplay screen a bit. I know that moving it around can definitely make placing a house plot a bit different...

If you mean in your pack, all packs have kind of invisible boundaries where you cant place items. Not sure why this happens but you can use them to your advantage to stack non-stackable items, especially in a vendor. Just try to place an item in the furthest corner and they will bounce back to where they need to be...

Thats not real clear o the boundaries thing, is it? Ill let someone else try to explain it.

That was a good explanation I dont think there is any other way of describing it

So fear not, and be proud...
