That's right. Since I joined in AoS, I started my Paladin in 3D in good ol' fashioned Haven. KR makes me really nervous. I'm really excited, make no mistake. But the fact there's this dead time between when 3D goes down and KR comes up is killing me, right now.

How much do I not like 2D? Horribly so. It's not that 2D is /bad/ to me, it's just dropped down frame rates on monsters, the sprites don't seem as appealing to me, and when you're used to seeing the world one way, when it all changes, but in a way that's in very much so a downgrade, it really sucks. Especially because I can't stretch everything out all over the place, I can't zoom in.

All I can think is KR please come out, soon. Because, despite popular belief, 3D only players /did/ exist. We were far and few inbetween, but we liked our crappy little graphics upgrade. Now show us the new land we gave up our home for.

Many people are anxiously awaiting KR. Needless to say a lot of them are now 2D dyed in the wool players . Hopefully open beta is just around the corner and you will once again have the graphics you love so.

In regards to the 3D client, has anyone heard of that other client that was third party, it made UO into full 3D.. There was a link on wikipedia for it, cant seem to find it now Although im not sure if its aloud to be used on the official servers. A Little more research might be needed!

I know a few in my guild are at a bit of a loss without 3d now. I admit I never liked it at all. I'm just hoping that UO:KR is nothing like the old 3d graphics.

I like spell effects and the resizable play area in 3D, but I couldn't stand how the people looked as tall as the houses. Some KR screenshots have had that same bit of disproportionate-ness, so I hope KR doesn't carry over that flaw in the 3D design.

I played 3D for about a year (and 2D for 8 years). I'm greatly looking forward to KR!

They did resize all the 3d avatars to make them not so big not so long ago, although the pre-AoS 3d avatars did look far more appropriate than the ones that came afterward.
Spell effects, resizable window, smooth running and a few other features were the biggest draws for me to the 3d client, more than the actual avatars/paperdoll (which were ok, but not great, the "idle" pose after AoS was atrocious though).

I am a 3d only player myself Tryken so I can understand how much of a pain it is, though I have logged in on 2d just to check out New Haven and a few of the quests.

Hopefully, KR is not so far away now, and rumour has it (from... errr.. people...) that it is quite wonderful, so I'm really looking forward to it. And so far, I like all the screenshots I've seen. I just hope they have some of the environmental effects (like rain) they said they'd put in.

I am pretty upset about them taking away my client, but it is tempered somewhat with the coming of KR. All I can say is just hold in there!

Yesterday was my first day in 2d and i won't sait it was that bad i do miss my 3d but if i look at it this way if i used 2d from the strat i wouldn't be missing anything

i guess i never used 3d. was is the biggest down side to not having it around anymore?

For those who used 3D will have to suffer with 2D until KR comes out. So basically they have to learn a new User Interface
