  |  Pathfinding? Why can't I turn it off? I've tried taking the the check off the option and putting it back on to enable pathfinding just to see if there's any difference, but my chars still start running off when I accidently dbl-click my mouse.   |

| Re: Pathfinding? uo.cfg is the file that stores all the information you set in options. Go and look for the uo.cfg in the Ultima Online directory, open it with notepad, and look for this line: AllowPathfind=[On/Off] (it will be either set to off or on) Make sure it is set to "Off" so that Pathfinding will be turned off. There is also a seperate uo.cfg file for each of your characters in the Desktop directory, which is their specific, unique options that you've set for each of them. You can edit those, too. Here is a little guide at Stratics that explains what the lines in uo.cfg mean. Still we loom in the mists as the ages roll away, And we say of our folk, "they are here!" Pathfinding is truly awful, it was one of the first things I permanently disabled when I started playing some years ago... especially in the RP circles it was always a pain in the butt. You'd be sitting at some speech or banquet or wedding or whatever and then suddenly mis-click and go wandering all over the room for no reason whatsoever and then try and explain yourself... ... uh, yeah, I had a bee up my dress.  |

| Re: Pathfinding? Path finding basically will make it so you will automatically "walk" to the location you click on. At least thats what I remember it did. It can be annoying because it will take over most anything else your doing. There are no stupid questions......only stupid people! |
