| Guest | Patching Problem... When I try to run and patch UO, the autopatch doesn't connect...I get this error message... "Connecting to patch server 207.239.134.110:8888 Could not connect to patch server 207.239.134.110:8888 Could not connect to a patch server Make sure you have an active connection to the Internet via an ISP or a direct connection. Trying alternate versioninfo file... Could not read versioninfo file Your client may not be the most recent version. You may be able to play the game with your current client. Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort" I've read the tech support bit on it, but there isn't the number string that they tell you to edit...Instead my verinfo file has win32_UO_Shared 0 Win32_LBR3D 0 Any help here? |

If you're on broadband, i'd recommend downloading the latest version of the game (Mondains legacy) and patching from that instead. Or, you could try reinstalling LBR... ![]() ![]() Get your own personal forum Like these ones - Personal forum listing Bored @ work? Play in our arcade! Well, the version that each of you play on shouldnt matter in the least, so long as you are on a version thats at least as old as the one they are on. The latest version has everything from the beginning on... Also, are you running a firewall? If your internet seems to work fine but the patch thing wont work, you may have port 8888 blocked (by you or by your ISP) So if you do not have a firewall, and your internet seems fine otherwise, call your ISP. If you are on a college campus (I know its summer, but you could be) youd have to try to find your schools IT department fro them to unblock 8888, which will not be easy. The only other concern is if you are indeed attempting to access an EA shard (i.e. not a player-run shard) If you are attempting to play EA, but you have played on an unauthorized shard before, your client may have been altered in such a way that disallows you to connect to the official shards. *NOTE* If you are attempting to access a non-EA (therefore unauthorized shard) we cannot help you here. Indeed, even discussion of them is frowned upon and I only bring it up to make sure thatwe are giving you the info you need. |
