I am aware that this has been covered in a couple of threads but I have tried a variety of issues and none work...Here is where I am at...
Error applying patch. This started approx 2 weeks ago. i searched the help section and performed all the tips supplied - spyware, virus(none), scan the hard drive, defragged, all of them. I have now uninstalled my windows 2000 os and installed windows xp and got the same error message. Here is a copy from the log windows "Transferring patch information

Applying patch patch\uoml_win32_5-0-4e.rtp". At the top of the uo updater page is a link " unable to patch click here". When I do this I am sent to a UO page with the statement "The UO3d (Third Dawn) client is no longer supported as of 4/30/2007", not sure what this means as I have installed UO 9th Anniversay Edition. When I reinstalled the XP I reformatted so all of the Windows 2000 was gone, so this is a fresh install...

I am working with my adsl provider as the uotrace shows a 100% loss on two hops to the owo.compassion.com server. The odd thing is I have another pc that I installed uo and uotrace on and that game will patch, login, and the uotrace shows the same 2 hops with a 100% loss. I would play my game on this but it is a slower mchine.
No Firewall installed on the pc...drive cannot have any spyware as it was formatted...Appreciate any help!!!

If you have one machine updated and they both are on a network. Just copy and paste the entire directory (except desktop) from the updated machine. Not sure why you are having problems. My 2000 machine didn't update about two weeks ago. Did the copy paste and it has been fine every since (think I have patched twice since then). If not you could be having some hardware conflict. Seems like a couple of players have had to fix/replace some hardware to complete a patch
