Party feature, like it or hate it.

I couldn't get into a party either, I try accepting but nothing happen.

I had exactly the same thing - swirling red energy beams - all over my friend in UO yesterday and had no idea what the hell was going on.

Figure its just one of those things they've yet to sort out.

The way they showed the beam feature in Chicago, it looks like it is as intended. I didn't know it was going to be used for parties, though - they explained its functionality for things such as, finding your corpse. There were going to be a handful of things you could toggle the beam on and off for.

Speaking of - I think it was a setting in the world map features (the toggle for the beam).

Oh well maybe i just need to learn how to toggle. I have been constantly hitting buttons and opening menus when I try to talk so maybe i toggled it on.

haha me 2 snuggs!! and not being able to right click to close a window, makes me walk all over the place and look stoooopid lol

I haven't played on beta but if it looks like your screen shot i would hate that

I have been guilty of that one as well. You get used to one way for so long, it is hard to break the habit!
