Ok. I played on Beta.... I had Parrots on Beta.. They ALL talked to me, repeated things I said...

I have Parrots now. Six of them. Some are 11 Weeks old.. some are new this week. Not a single word out of them except when I feed them, and that's only the programmed stuff. WHEN are they gonna talk? Does anyone have one that talks????? I feed them.. I talk to them... Nada!!!!

Try moving them to the back of the house.
(this is supposedly a known issue but not a real important ones)
The only parrots I have that talk are on the roof in the back of the house.

I have right about 50 Parrots on my second acct on Chessy.
Every single one of them talk, i don't think i have ever fed anyone of them.
Yea i know you are saying wth 50? lol i just like them and they are a colorful deco for the house.

vizerk, by talk do you mean the standard programmed words they come with, or do they repeat words and phrases you say around them?

I feed a wafer to each one in turn, and speak a phrase like my current one is "Hello Ladies".. (I got them to say "Hi Honey! I'm Home!" on Beta) I have called them names like "Stupid Parrot".. they don't care.. they just sit there saying their "I just flew in from... " and such....

Flutter, I had them on the roof for a month. It didn't seem to make a difference, so I moved them into the house. Someone on Stratics told me to turn off all the items in the house that 'talk' like the Vet Statues and such... I did that.. it didn't help either..... Any Dev folks around see this.. do you have any clues for me/us?

I have a few parrots and the only ones that talk are the two on the North west side of my roof. (there are others on the roof too that dont talk)

If someone else has 50 parrots all who parrot... then something must be wrong with the house!
I wonder... is your house in Malas? I have a friend with a house in Luna and her parrots don't even flap their wings.

All my parrots talk and they're all over my house. At first they just did the programmed text when I fed them, but now they'd say back whatever I type. It gets noisy when I'm having a conversation but it's cute too.

Ive noticed in my rainbow house, My parrots only talk when im on the floors below them. The parrots are on the 3rd floor, They talk when im on the 1st or 2nd. But DONT talk when im on the 3rd or 4th..

Also, I have around 50, All talk, I just have to be on the right floor it seems.

I only have one parrot, a norwegien blue it's a dead parrot if i hadn't nailed it to the perch it would be pushing up daisies

Yes.. My house is in Malas, three screens East of Luna.....My daughter has 4 parrots in her castle near Vesper though, and they haven't talked either, to my knowledge...
