Is it an omen?

Last night I went to get someone a fire beetle. Because you can no longer recall out I went on a fresh tamed mare which I left behind when I rode the firebeetle out.

This morning I logged on and the mare I'd left for dead was beside me. I didn't bother loring it last night. Now I have: hp 314, str 523.

Maybe I'm meant to have this mare, I better keep it?

It's not a tb, but it is a long mane.

Re: Is it an omen?

Wow! That is amazing... I've never heard of that happening before.. hmmmm. nope take that back... I decided to retire a giant beetle to free up a slot in the stable.. so I just set it free at the stable in hopes somebody else would re-tame it and give it a good home for the long and faithful service it had done for me.

Ran all the way home.. basically the opposite end of Malas.... logged out in my house.. when I woke up... my beetle was outside my house wandering around.... I dunno if a friend recognized the fella and lured him to my house thinking I'd lost him or what... but there he was. I retamed the bug and promised never to give him up again.

Re: Is it an omen?

Aye this is part of the new stabling rules. When you log out, you now autostable whatever pets you have tamed with you.

My guildmates do it with their dragons all the time. Go home, log out..when you log back in next time dragon is with you and ready to go.

Whenever I lose a packie, or forget him somewhere, it's nice to know that I can just log out and he'll come with me no matter what.

Re: Is it an omen?

I thought this was just for Bonded pets? It works with un-bonded pets as well? I don't know all that much about how these things work, since my tamer pretty much just tames pets that are fun to ride so she rarely loses one, and all my other tames are basically just slave laborers.. as I tend to get restless and move my house too frequently. *grin*

Re: Is it an omen?

Aye it does...I'm not sure if it's *supposed* to work with unbonded though.

But we've run a Fel event a few times where we bought fresh packies so that they could be killed. The ones I always left standing in Fel at the banks were never bonded, but they still always log out with me and end up back at my house.

Again, I don't think it's supposed to work with unbonded, but it's a nice little bug that it does, I'm sure Petra will agree She was definatly meant to have that mare hehe

Re: Is it an omen?

Hehe.. well then somebody must have brought my beetle home to me then, cause I had completely released him and I doubt he missed me enough to follow me all the way home... ;)

Re: Is it an omen?

I didn't know the stabling worked for unbonded pets but I'm also wondering how long did you stay online before logging?? The mare must have taken good care of itself to still be alive. I'd say that one is a keeper!

Re: Is it an omen?

heh I've stabled her. I never expected her to survive, she started to follow me out but of course couldn't keep up. There were several Yamotsu warriors and at least one priest in the area.
I was on line long enough to ride out of the mine, recall to Skara, contact the person who asked for the beetle and transfer it. About 5 minutes I guess. But then my guild hunt was due to start and I needed my warrior char.
