I gave in to nostalgia this morning & reactivated my account. I was expecting something a lot different, for sure, since last time I logged out was when necromancy was new ('03!). But I was shocked when I logged in. My mage (healer/nox! old school even in '03) is some sort of fairy statue, and he's hanging off his horse or something. He sure isn't riding it, but he moves with it.

So, of course, I have lots of questions like; how can I tell if he's red... why is he so weird looking... is anything i have worth anything anymore... can i switch back to 2d until if feel comfortable with the game again... and mostly, what in the sam hill is going on?

I'd really like something that will just update me on what's changed 2003-present. I know that's not going to happen, but can anyone point me to recent or up-to-date guides? From what I recall stratics was a little behind the times guide-wise back in the day, so I thought I'd consult the forums & see where the newer, better info was.

welcome back! alot has changed including a new client KR (kingdom reborn). It is still a little buggy and alot of peeps still play 2d.

Can I just change a setting to get back to 2d with the new client? I downloaded it yesterday.

ok, got the 2d client. much better! now i'm pinging around 30 instead of 120. still looks a little choppy, but i'll deal with that later. and i've got uoassist back. starting to feel like home again.

so, at the risk of sounding like everyone else, i've got a couple template questions. first, is my mage still playable? are all his skills still necessary?

and my dexxer! same, are things like anatomy still required? would adding chivalry or something be better than having magery?
