I've been working with my crafter character, and I just hit 65 carpentry and 65 lumberjacking, I've been chopping oak trees in felucca but haven't received any Oak wood yet, i'm now 67 lumberjacking. Where do I need to go? Thanks inadvance.

They have changed resource gathering now. Finding different woods and ores is random. One day the tree may yield oak, the next day normal wood, and the following day ash. This goes for ingots as well. I would just keep moving around. Good luck!

Yeah they just changed it a few months back? If it was still the same as before, I would have told you to chop Yew trees. They always give me oak wood

The wood type is not related to the trees you chop. In fact the game doesn't even know which trees you chop as you in fact chop a 8x8 ressource tile egg.

So any tree can contain any wood, it's a matter of skill (you need it high enough to find the wood) and luck.
